OBJECTIVES
Cyber Security effects everyone in an organization. Cyber Toa’s Defensive Network Security Fundamentals course is intended for those wishing to learn the fundamentals of assessing and implementing defensive network services. This course includes a range of interactive scenarios, case studies, videos and activities using real life examples so learners can evaluate on a networked system’s cybersecurity posture.

This class is delivered by Cyber Toa - Security Specialists.

PREREQUISITES

Students must have a basic knowledge of networking, packets and ideally some experience with the command line.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Perform brute force checks on remote authentication services.
• Observe and track network traffic and use a simple IDS and IPS.
• Perform internal and external vulnerability assessments on a system.
• Assess the security of their wireless environment.
• Understand how to generate a malicious payload, and what to look for to detect them.
