Auldhouse kicks ass in Microsoft certification campaign

27 Apr 2021

Auldhouse's Kick Ass Microsoft Certification Campaign has lived up to its name - with the results exceeding our targets.

The campaign, run in partnership with Microsoft, aimed to create market awareness about Microsoft certifications for Azure, Microsoft 365 and business apps using LinkedIn. The goal was to increase the number of students taking and passing Microsoft certification exams by 31 March 2021 - with a Surface GO tablet up for grabs to one lucky student.

To be in the draw, students had to upload a digital Microsoft Certification badge to their LinkedIn profile once they passed their exams.

We aimed for at least 50 badge uploads but ended up with 80!

Alex Tjahjana from University of Auckland Alex Tjahjana from University of Auckland, winner of the Surface GO tablet in our Kick Ass Microsoft Certification Campaign

Congratulations to Alex Tjahjana from University of Auckland (above) for winning the Surface GO tablet. Alex has attended a number of Azure classes with Auldhouse ranging from Azure Data Fundamentals through to Azure Architect and Azure DevOps. He has also passed several Azure exams, well done Alex!

Apart from delivering Azure and Microsoft 365 training to many, we also delivered a number of free exam prep sessions throughout January to March to help prepare people to sit exams.

And best of all, the campaign went down a treat with our customers and partners, as shown in these quotes:

“I work at Valocity Global as a senior software engineer specialising in data to support the data flow across multiple teams. I started my certification journey in 2013. Together with my studies in Master of Computer and Information Sciences, Microsoft Certification has assisted in helping me achieve my career goals. Thank you to Auldhouse for helping me achieve my many Microsoft certifications”.

- Wei Cui, Senior Data Engineer, Valocity Global

“As an experienced Microsoft 365 and Azure consultant and having worked on several large scale SOE migration projects for many enterprise and government departments in New Zealand, ensuring I have the relevant certifications to back up my real-world experience is extremely important to my organisation and our customers”.

- Aaron Tan, Technical Consultant - Modern Management, Spark New Zealand

“Provoke has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Auldhouse. We trust Auldhouse to deliver training and certification to ensure we meet the competencies required to be a Microsoft Gold Partner and the certifications we need to ensure we meet our customers’ requirements”.

- Tess Ford, Business Coordinator, Provoke Solutions

"At Spark New Zealand, we believe that our customers deserve to work with a Microsoft Partner who has achieved the highest level of training and certification necessary to help their business succeed. Our partnership with Auldhouse has ensured our team have gained the skills and qualifications they need to meet our customers exacting standards."

Yogi Buvanasekaran, Strategic Partnerships Specialist, Spark New Zealand

"Azure certifications are well recognised within the industry and will put professionals in a good position to make the most of current opportunities. Whether that is being ready and able to help with major migration projects as we complete the datacenter region, building applications in the cloud for some of New Zealand’s most well-known businesses, working across our extensive partner network, or cutting your teeth in a small tech start-up or independent software vendor to create the next big thing. That’s why Microsoft New Zealand partnered with Auldhouse to help drive (and overachieve) cloud certifications during our recent campaign.”

- Patrick Quesnel, Microsoft APAC Azure Infrastructure & Hybrid Product Marketing Lead, Microsoft
